Dodger Hall Of Famer Duke Snider passed away at the age of 84 over the weekend. He was a career .295 hitter with 407 career home runs. He is the Dodgers franchise leader. He's the Dodgers franchise leader in home runs and RBIs. Duke was the most famous Brooklyn Dodger of them all, and moved with the team to Los Angeles. He hit the last ever home run at Ebbett's Field in Brooklyn, and won 2 World Series. He led all hitters in home runs and RBIs in the decade of the 1950's.
Another great one passes away. Now of the three legendary center fielders to play in New York at the same time, only Willie Mays is still alive. Mickie Mantle passed away in 1995. Years of alcoholism and liver damage took him early.
