The ACC Tournament Wrapup

UNC overcame another double digit deficit against Clemson in the ACC semi-finals. Harrison Barnes was a one man wrecking crew, scoring 42 as UNC pulled away in overtime. That was the highest scoring total in a Tournament game in 16 years. It set the single game tournament scoring record for a freshman, as was the most points in a tournament game by a UNC player in more than 40 years.

Fittingly, it was Duke vs. UNC in the Championship Game. It was another slow UNC start and the hole was too big to recover from against a team as good as Duke. Duke cruised to the ACC Tournament Championship and a #1 seed.

For Duke seniors Kyle Singler and Nolan Smith they capped off their careers with 3 ACC Tournament Championships in 4 years, with a National Championship and still some work left to do.

The All-Tournament Team was:

Nolan Smith, Duke (MVP)
Kyle Singler, Duke
Harrison Barnes, North Carolina
Tyler Zeller, North Carolina
Demontez Stitt, Clemson
