Doug Fister was dominant once again. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 8 innings pitched, throwing only 92 pitches.
He upped his record to 6-1 as a Tiger. Jose Valverde closed out the 9th of the 3-1 victory over Oakland for his 45th save.
Don Kelly was 2-4 with his 5th homer of the season and an RBI single. Wilson Betemit had an RBI triple. Ramon Santiago also added a triple for the Tigers.
