the LA Lakers didn't take long to hire a new head coach

Not that NBA coaching moves, or pretty much anything that happens in the NBA between the top of the Draft, then the first week of the season when I watch how the rookies that I took an interest in during their college careers do, and the Conference Finals interests me. But this move does.

The Lakers hired former Cavs coach Mike Brown. Brown was fired by Cleveland about a year ago, as Cleveland tried to woo LeBron James to stay with a "better coach". The general perception was that Brown wasn't a good enough coach for a player the quality of LeBron James. So they brought in Dennis Scott. James left anyway.

Apparently Mike Brown is a good enough coach to coach Kobe Bryant. And after being unceremoniously dumped he's now the coach of one of the two most storied NBA franchises, along with Boston, and one of the most storied franchises in all of sports.
