Tigers-Red Sox - In-game observation

Jonathon Papelbon won that battle, striking out Cabrera in a 6 pitch at-bat. That hurts to load the bases with 1 out and not be able to score. But Detroit at least had their best possible crack to win it. Papelbon gets paid a lot of money to get out the Miguel Cabreras of the league in crunch time though. This probably dooms Justin Verlander to a no-decision though. I doubt he's coming back out for the bottom of the 9th after 112 pitches or so.

And I'm right. It's Al Alburquerque. Great stuff, but looks like he's trying to be the next coming of Fernando Rodney on the Heart Attack Scale. Nobody will ever surpass Todd Jones though.
