The Brewers Erick Almonte made his own baseball history yesterday

Almonte took is eyes off a throw during batting practice the other day and had it hit him in the forehead.

He became the first player every assigned to the new 7 Day Disabled List, which is reserved exclusively for concussions.

I figure it's only a matter of time before the Yankees whack one of their aging players in the head to buy a few days of free DL rest time so they can bring someone else up to fill the roster spot.
