Tigers move above .500 for the first time this season

Brad Penny allowed 1 infield single, that Brandon Inge backhanded down the third base line but couldn't get enough on the throw and Miguel Cabrera couldn't pick it cleanly, in 7 innings. He earned his first Tigers victory and is now 1-2 on the season.

Alex Avila was 3-4 with a triple and 2 RBIs. Ryan Raburn was 2-4 with 3 RBIs. Miguel Cabrera was 2-5 with 2 doubles and an RBI. Jhonny Peralta was 2-4 with an RBI. Brandon Inge was 2-4 with an RBI, and Magglio Ordonez was 1-4 with his first RBI of the season.

Austin Jackson was also 2-4 in his first multi-hit game of the season, and Brennan Boesch was 1-3 with a double. Detroit pounded out 15 hits and cruised to a 9-0 victory. They're now 11-10 on the season after their third straight win.
