A Milestone for Chipper Jones

Chipper Jones had thought about retiring after last season, going out at the same time as the only manager he'd ever played for, Bobby Cox. But he changed his mind when his season ended suddenly after tearing his ACL trying to feld a groundball. He decided he didn't want to end like that. Tonight he went 2-4 against the Phillies to reach 2500 hits.

Good for Chipper. He's been a class act for the game.
